Five key decisions have been taken during the Special Covid Control meeting that was held under the aegis of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today.
Following are the five key decisions taken at the meeting:
- Import the oral medicine ‘Molnupiravir’ for COVID-19 patients.
- Launch a mobile vaccination service to administer a booster dose for people above 60 who had their second dose three months prior.
- Administer the booster dose to those above 60 who come to the hospital medical clinics.
- Booster dose to all those over the age of 20 with non-communicable diseases.
- More focus on controlling the spread of coronavirus in rural areas.
