The Police in a statement has denied that a 19-year-old woman has died due to an accident related to Gas.
Earlier the Lankadeepa reported that a woman from who had sustained injuries reportedly in a gas explosion died last evening (25) after receiving treatment for nearly 12 days at the Colombo National Hospital.
Police said that the initial investigation has revealed that the woman has reportedly died by suicide by setting her self on fire.
According to the Lankadeepa, The father of the woman called on the relevant authorities to conduct a special investigation into the matter claiming it’s a balst related to Gas explosion.(NewsWire)
