Sialkot incident: “From Friend & Colleague” Arjuna writes to Imran Khan

Former Parliamentarian Arjuna Ranatunga has commended the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan for his efforts in bringing justice to Sri Lankan expatriate Priyantha Diyawadana who was killed by a mob in Sialkot Pakistan recently. 

The Pakistani Anti- Terror Court remanded 18 more suspects over the brutal murder of Diyawadana. It was also revealed that 52 suspects in total are currently remanded over the incident. 

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Government also announced that it has decided to debate the murder of Priyantha Diyawadana in Parliament on 20th and 22nd December. 

Issuing a statement, Arjuna Ranatunga who has played international cricket with Imran Khan, pointed out the close ties between the two countries in both cricket and external affairs.

Ranatunga further extended his gratitude to Imran Khan and his Government for the continued support and commitment shown towards Priyantha Diyawadana’s family. (NewsWire)
