Minister of Industries Wimal Weerawansa declared open the new factory of Agri Deshiya (Pvt.) Ltd in Kuruwita which manufactures canned toddy for the local and global market.
The factory manufactures canned today under the brand name ‘Raga’ and promotes Kithulra and Kithul-related products.
It is located in the Nanda Ellawalla Industry in Kuruwita and consists of the latest technology.
Declaring open the new factory, Minister of Industries Wimal Weerawansa was seen enjoying a trot of Kithul toddy by tasting the new product.
MP W. D. J Seneviratne, State Minister Arundika Fernando and Prabath de Alwis, and Chairman of Agri Deshiya were also present at the event. (NewsWire)
