Sri Lanka National Test captain Dimuth Karunaratne has predicted that the Galle Gladiators will win the ongoing second edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL).
Speaking to NewsWire’s Azzam Ameen, Sri Lanka’s Test captain said he is, however, supporting Colombo as he is from the area.
Pointing out that Jaffna is a strong team, he said Galle Gladiators might throw in a surprise performance if Dhanushka Gunathilake, Kusal Mendis, and Bhanuka Rajapaksa click and work out a formula.
Karunaratne further said he has requested for the LPL to consider introducing at least two more teams if they wish to encourage more young cricketers.
He said this inclusion in the next edition of the LPL will pave the way to introduce new and young cricketers to the T20 format for Sri Lanka. (NewsWire)
