Two individuals who had attempted to snatch a gold chain from the neck of a woman have been caught in the act by people who were in the vicinity of the attack.
The suspects had attempted to snatch the gold chain from an Indian woman near Independence Square in Colombo last evening.
The two men had arrived on a motorcycle to carry out the robbery.
People in the vicinity had caught the two suspects and had later handed them over to the Police. (NewsWire)
