The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has agreed to reimburse Sri Lanka the costs of the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines.
State Minister Prof Channa Jayasumana said that the ADB will provide USD 85 million as reimbursement to Sri Lanka.
He further said that the amount is being granted after taking into consideration the transparency in vaccine purchases.
Professor Jayasumana added that the payment is also for Sri Lanka’s progress in its national vaccination programme. (NewsWire)
