Two Russians have drowned while bathing in the Narigama Beach in Hikkaduwa on 30th December 2021.
The Hikkaduwa Police said the victims have been identified as two men aged 33.
The two Russians had arrived in Sri Lanka with their fiancees and had gone for a sea bath on Thursday night.
The two men had been swept away by a wave while bathing in the Narigama beach.
One person had been rescued and had succumbed to his injuries after being admitted to the Karapitiya Hospital in Galle.
The body of the other Russian had washed ashore on the beach in Narigama the following day (31). (NewsWire)
