A 17-year-old youth has died after being stabbed with a knife over a dispute pertaining to a TikTok video.
The Police said the youth had been stabbed while he was walking with a few friends along Madhampitiya Lane in Grandpass last afternoon.
Another youth known to him had stabbed him from the back after which the injured youth had been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the suspect had stabbed the victim over a dispute pertaining to a video created on the social media platform TikTok.
The victim has been identified as a 17-year-old resident of Wellampitiya.
The Police said the suspect had fled the area following the incident and the Grandpass Police has commenced an investigation to apprehend him. (NewsWire)
