The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for heavy rains to 10 districts.
Issuing a statement, the Department said that the advisory is in effect from 10.00 am today to 09.00 am tomorrow (05).
The Met department said under the influence of the active Northeast monsoon conditions, heavy showers above 100 mm can be expected in the Uva Province.
In addition, heavy showers above 100 mm can also be expected in the Batticaloa, Ampara, Matale, Polonnaruwa, Kaluthara, Rathnapura, Galle, and Matara districts. (NewsWire)
