An individual has died following the explosion of an air conditioner at a hotel in the Getambe area in Kandy.
According to the manager of the hotel, the victim had been servicing the air conditioner during which an explosion had taken place.
He said it is suspected that the gas within the air conditioner may have caused an explosion, but the cause is yet to be ascertained.
The victim has been identified as a 24-year-old resident of Ukkuwela, Matale. (NewsWire)
