Two students missing since November found

Two students believed to be those reported missing from Kotadeniyawa since November 23 last year have been found in Mirigama.

Police spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said the children had been handed over to the Mirigama Police by a woman this afternoon.

The two children aged 10 and 12 are cousins and were reported missing from the Badhuragoda area in Wattemulla, Kotadeniyawa since 23rd November 2021.

The Police also sought public assistance to locate the two brothers. It is yet unclear as to what exactly had happened to the two brothers. 

SSP Nihal Thalduwa said the two boys have been handed over to the Kotadeniyawa Police to be investigated.

He added that the Criminal Investigations Department will be looking into if they were abducted or not and the places they had stayed.

The Police spokesman further thanked the media for assisting in finding the two missing children. (NewsWire)
