Sri Lanka has condemned the hijacking of a United Arab Emirates (UAE) flagged cargo vessel off the coast of Yemen.
The ship had been seized and detained by Houthi rebels off the port of Hodeidah in Yemen on Sunday (09).
Seven Indians had been onboard the vessel at the time it had been hijacked by the Houthis.
Condemning the incident, Sri Lanka said it remains fully committed to the Right of Innocent Passage in accordance with International Law. (NewsWire)
