Fourteen people, including foreign nationals, have been arrested following a raid conducted on an unlicensed nightclub in Colpetty last night.
The Police said 12 foreigners, including 09 men and 3 women, and two locals were arrested by the Colpetty Police during the raid.
The Police have also seized 483 imported beer bottles, 06 wine bottles, local spirits, and 100 illegally imported cigarette sticks.
The nightclub had been operated by a foreign woman and she was produced before the Fort Magistrate’s Court today.
The woman who had pleaded guilty had been released after the court had imposed a fine of Rs. 90,000.
Meanwhile, the manager of the nightclub who had also pleaded guilty for the possession of illegally imported cigarettes and alcohol has been released after being imposed a fine of Rs. 60,000.
The remaining suspects were also released on Police bail after being interrogated by the Colpetty Police. (NewsWire)
