The Kuwait Fund has agreed to provide a concessionary loan of Rs 06 billion to Sri Lanka for the construction of the Medical Faculty of the University of Moratuwa.
The agreement has been made during a discussion with Minister of Education Dinesh Gunawardena at the Higher Education Office of the Ministry of Education yesterday (2).
A representative of the Kuwait Fund had revealed that the Fund also expects to improve nearly 100 schools in Sri Lanka to international standards.
Ambassador of Kuwait to Sri Lanka Khalaf Dhhair, Director General of Administration and Finance of the Kuwait Fund Nedhal A-Olayan, and Regional Director for the East, South Asia, and Pacific, Kuwait Fund Yonsef Al-Bader were also present at the discussion. (NewsWire)
