The Public has been urged to use water sparingly due to the prevalent drought in Sri Lanka.
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) warned the supply of water could be limited in the coming days due to the prevailing dry weather conditions.
A significant drop has been observed in the water levels of main water sources due to the current weather condition.
However, the daily consumption of water is currently very high, the Water Board further said.
Thereby, the Water Board has urged the public not to use drinking water for non-essential activities such as washing vehicles and gardening. (NewsWire)
