In a major blow for the Sri Lanka cricket team, fast bowler Binura Fernando has tested positive for Covid-19 in Australia.
Binura Fernando played the first T20 against Australia with excellent figures of 2-12 in 4 overs.
SLC sources told NewsWire, that an antigen test conducted on Binura Fernando had confirmed that he has tested positive. A PCR test result is awaited.
Earlier, batsman Kusal Mendis tested positive for Covid-19 after the Sri Lanka team landed in Australia.
However, Kusal Mendis is likely to be available for the 3rd T20I.
