Autopsy conducted on the boy who died in Badalgama due to negligence of his parents, has revealed that he had contracted Covid-19.
The 10-year-old boy died earlier this week from a phlegm blockage allegedly as a result of his parent’s refusal to seek medication and instead choosing to pray.
Police said that the boy had died during the prayer service as the guardians kept him at home and had decided to pray for a ‘potential wakening’ according to their religious beliefs.
Following the death, the child’s mother, father and grandmother were arrested and the father and grandmother were later released on bail after producing to courts. (NewsWire)
