The Sri Lanka Police has issued bicycles to selected Police personnel in the Western Province.
The bicycles have been distributed to Police officers attached to the Police Environmental Unit.
The distribution has been made to enable officers to swiftly engage in various duties, including providing necessary environmental protection to the public, redecorating cities, and addressing issues faced by the public.
A total of 357 Police officers were enrolled in the Police service from the Kalutara, Panadura, Gampaha, and Negombo areas.
They were granted the bicycles by the Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police (SDIG) Deshabandu Tennakoon. (NewsWire)
