Minister Namal Rajapaksa says he suspects there is a conspiracy behind the islandwide power cuts currently being imposed in Sri Lanka.
Speaking to reporters today, Minister Rajapaksa said during Cabinet meetings, relevant authorities have vowed to refrain from imposing power cuts.
“The authorities had informed the Government that they only require fuel and everything else is resolved. If so, why are power cuts still continuing?” the Minister questioned.
Stating that there is an issue here, Minister Rajapaksa said a probe must be conducted into the matter to ascertain the reason.
Voicing suspicion of a possible conspiracy, the Minister further said that if there are attempts of sabotage then legal action must be initiated in this regard. (NewsWire)
