March 15, 2022 at 1:35 PM

The meeting that was scheduled between the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) and President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today has been postponed once again.

The meeting that was set to be held this afternoon, after a period of nearly two years, has been postponed.

MP Shanakiyan Rasamanickan announced yesterday that President Rajapaksa has invited a delegation from the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) for a meeting to discuss reconciliation.

MP Rasamanickam said the meeting will take place at the Presidential Secretariat on Tuesday, the 15th of March 2022.

However, the meeting that was postponed at the last moment last year, has once again been postponed today to a later date at the end of this month.

According to sources, the protest by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) that is to be held opposite the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo today has been cited as the reason for the postponement. (NewsWire)
