The long-scheduled discussion between the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) and President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has commenced today.
TNA MP M.A. Sumanthiran confirmed that the talks between the party and the President have begun.
The meeting that was scheduled nearly two years ago has been twice postponed.
Earlier, President Rajapaksa had invited a delegation from the Tamil National Alliance for a meeting to discuss reconciliation.
The meeting that was postponed at the last moment last year, was once again postponed earlier this month.
