Popular YouTuber Uptin Saiidi has posted a video on his YouTube channel UPTIN, explaining the economic crisis in Argentina.
The South American country has been going through a massive economic crisis in the past few years, which worsened with the Covid 19 Pandemic.
In his Vlog, Uptin explains how the exchange rates work in Argentina and how there are two different rates, an official rate and a ‘blue market’ rate, which was the similar situation in Sri Lanka, more eminent before the CBSL decided to float the rupee earlier this month.
Public in Argentina are blaming the government for the massive inflation, which hit an astonishing 50% last year and is expected to hit 50% this year too.
Sri Lanka rupee has also seen a massive devaluation against the US dollar, while the government is struggling to source the required US dollars to buy essential items including Fuel and Gas. (NewsWire)
