Another 16-year-old boy has died by suicide after being reprimanded for the excessive use of a mobile phone.
The Police said the boy, who is a resident of the Haliyala area in Ududumbara, had died on Tuesday morning (05).
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the teenager had been reprimanded by his mother for the excessive use of his mobile phone.
The Police said it has been found that the boy was addicted to his mobile phone due to a mobile game.
Upon being reprimanded by his mother, the boy had died by suicide inside his own house.
The postmortem examination into the death conducted at the Theldeniya Hospital has confirmed the cause of death as suicide. (NewsWire)
