Festival of Media Global Awards shortlisted

Festival of Media Global Awards shortlist dominated by brands including Unilever, Mondelez, P&G and VW, J&J and Adidas

In terms of agencies MediaCom leads the way with an impressive 50 shortlisted entries followed by Mindshare (45), PHD (40), Wavemaker (15), Initiative (15) and OMD (14), with their work having impressed the jurors in the first round of judging.

This year also saw entries from more than 41 different countries around the world with work from the UK (43), Australia (31, US (28), India (24), Germany (22) and Canada (14) dominating the shortlist.

Gamaal Serugo-Lugo, Awards Director, Festival of Media said: “As with our APAC programme the level of work this year has been outstanding and the jurors were spoilt for choice when curating this shortlist. It should make for some intriguing discussions on the final judging days next month. Well done to everyone who has made the shortlist and good luck.”

This work was reflected with the number of campaigns that were shortlisted multiple times with PHD’s The Break of Silence campaign receiving seven nominations, followed by Mindshare India’s Dove #Stop The Beauty Test (6), Havas Media’s Beyond the Surface, Mindshare Sweden’s Discover the Originals and Mindshare Vietnam’s Covid-19 Hyper Alert System ft. Ministry of Health and 5K Message.

The final judging takes place from Monday 16th-Wednesday 18th May in both live and virtual environments to ensure there are inclusive juries representing societies from around the globe and will include senior executive from brands including Philips, Google, Burger King, O2, LVMH, Toyota, PepsiCo, P&G, Beam Suntory and Estée Lauder.
