The Pivithuru Hela Urumaya says it will extend its support to the No- Confidence motion to be submitted by the opposition against the Government, under two conditions.

Party Leader MP Udaya Gammanpila told the media today that the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has not approached other political parties as yet to obtain support for the motion.

The MP pointed out that the failure to secure the support of other major political parties will result in a victory for the Government within the Parliament, which will only further strengthen its grip on power.

MP Gammanpila said that his party will extend its support to the opposition SJB’s No-confidence motion only if the latter agrees to its two conditions.

“Firstly, the SJB must prove that it has secured the support of 113 MPs in Parliament prior to submitting the motion. Secondly, the SJB must agree to form an all-party interim Government after dissolving the current Government,” he said. (NewsWire)
