Amrak Institute of Medical Sciences enters into a fully funded partnership with the NHS; New opportunities for Nursing Students. 

Amrak Institute of Medical Sciences, a subsidiary of Durdans Hospital, has partnered with the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust to offer a 3-year work and learning opportunity through their award-winning Clinical Fellowship Programme (CFP).  

The Amrak delegation also met with H.E. Mrs. Saroja Sirisena – Sri Lanka’s HC to the UK to discuss the development of opportunities related to Healthcare focused exchange programs and the utilization of human capital in light of the current Sri Lankan economic crisis. 

This fantastic opportunity gives nursing students the opportunity to specialise in various medical fields including surgery, trauma/orthopaedics; critical care; theatres and mental health  and receive work experience through patient centred care  in one of the hospital trusts in the Black Country region, UK. 

The requirements for the CFP are as follows.

  •         Hold a nursing degree or diploma
  •         2 years’ recent clinical experience
  •         Ability to work flexibly
  •         Team player
  •         Have a passion for delivering high quality care.
  •         Achieved OET B/ IELTS 7 needed for registering with the Nursing and Midwifery Council in the UK
  •         Pass the NMC test of competence: Part 1 Computer Based Test and Part 2 Objective structured clinical examination – (subject to passing interview. Part 2 takes place in the UK).
