Minister of Energy Kanchana Wijesekara has provided an update on the Fuel availability in the country.
The minister says that on an average 4000MT of Auto Diesel and 2500MT of 92 Petrol is released daily.
He further said that steps are being taken to release more stocks of Petrol 92 and only a limited stock of Auto Diesel is released until the Norochcholai power plant is restored.
He also added that further stock of 40,000 MT of Petrol and Crude Oil vessels are to be unloaded on Monday (9).
As of 5:00 pm yesterday, CPC had a stock of 12,516 MT of Auto Diesel and 27,325 MT of Petrol 92, while only 425 MT of Petrol 95 was remaining.
