Three people have been injured in a shooting incident that has been reported following unrest in the Nittambuwa area today.
The Police said that a vehicle allegedly belonging to MP Amarakeerthi Athukorala was involved in the shooting incident this evening.
According to reports, a group that had arrived in the MP’s vehicle has reportedly opened fire at peaceful anti-government protesters who were gathered in the area.
Close to three people were injured in the shooting and were hospitalized, while one person is reportedly in critical condition. (NewsWire)
