Transparency International Sri Lanka (TISL) has called for a revival of two stalled grand corruption cases in the country.
The request has been made in a letter addressed to the BAR Association of Sri Lanka (BASL).
In the letter, TISL has requested the BASL to look into the legal proceedings against former Sri Lankan ambassador to the United States of America Jaliya Wickramasuriya and former Sri Lankan Airlines Chief Executive Officer Kapila Chandrasena.
TISL has also requested the BASL to take necessary action including inquiring with the Attorney General and the Inspector General of Police to initiate action or revive legal proceedings against the said individuals. (NewsWire)
