Independent MP Jeevan Thondaman has invited representatives of the LGBTQ+ community to engage in discussions with the Minister of Justice on matters concerning the community.

MP Jeevan Thondaman said he had held a productive discussion with Minister Wijedasa Rajapakshe on several subjects, including matters related to the LGBTQ+ community.

“The discussion focused on matters concerning the LGBTQ Community, reforms pertaining to the Muslim Marriage and Divorce Act (MMDA), and electoral reforms with relation to the upcountry community,” he said.
