Former MP Hirunika Premachandra gave hugs to female Police officers who were on duty near the Prime Minister’s private residence in Colombo during a protest today.
The Samagi Vanitha Balawegaya headed by Hirunika Premachandra gathered on the road opposite Thurstan College, in Colombo 07.
The protest was held to highlight the difficulties faced by the people due to the economic crisis.
Following the end of the protest, Hirunika Premachandra hugged a few female Police officers who had been on duty preventing access to the Prime Minister’s residence. (NewsWire)
