A brawl has been reported between a Police officer and a military officer at a fuel station in the Dummaladeniya area in Warakapola.
The incident occurred after an argument between the Police officer and Lieutenant Colonel had escalated while on duty at the fuel station.
Video footage captured on the CCTV camera at the fuel station shows the Lieutenant Colonel assaulting the Police officer following the argument.
The Police officer who had sustained injuries in the incident is receiving treatment at the Warakapola Hospital.
The Lieutenant Colonel has been arrested by the Police over the incident and will be produced before the Warakapola Magistrate’s Court today. (NewsWire)
