The Chief Prelates of the four main Buddhist Chapters in Sri Lanka have written a 10-point letter to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa expressing their displeasure over the current situation in the country.

They have called for the immediate implementation of the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution to form a genuine all-party government.

Blaming the President for playing party politics at this juncture, they urged him to instead focus on finding proper solutions for the economic crisis.

The Chief Prelates also stressed that Sri Lanka has become a failed state as a result of the administration acting without a proper economic plan. (NewsWire)
