Over 22, 000 foreign tourists are in Sri Lanka at present, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) said.
The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority said that the foreign tourists have arrived from 136 countries.
Giving a breakdown, the SLTDA said 1,785 tourists had arrived from Australia, 2,295 from Canada, 1,310 from France, 1,883 from Germany, 2,569 from India, 1,392 from Russia, 2,397 from the UK, and 1,379 from the US.
The SLTDA further said together with the industry stakeholders, it is looking into and facilitating the necessary requirements of the tourists currently in Sri Lanka.
“We are making every effort to minimize any inconvenience caused to the tourists due to the current crises,” the SLTDA added. (NewsWire)
