Field Marshall Sarath Fonseka says the final battle of the people’s struggle will be carried out on the 09th of August in Colombo.
Addressing the Parliament today, he said that the entire population of the country has been requested to participate in this public protest.
MP Sarath Fonseka further requested those heading the people’s struggle to ensure that the country is freed from corrupt politicians through the final battle of the people’s protest.
The former Army Commander also called on the tri-forces and the Police not to attack anti-government protesters, stating that the younger generation involved in the protests are their own children and relatives.
