The Police have launched an investigation to apprehend a person who had taken the official flag of the President during the recent public protests in Colombo.
A video shared on social media shows the man lying on the bed with the flag used as a bedsheet.
He is also heard stating that he will set fire and destroy the official flag of the President.
The Police said the man who had taken the flag after the public stormed the President’s Office in Colombo on 09th July has been identified via CCTV footage.
Stating that the suspect is seen walking with the flag tied around his waist, the Police said an investigation has been launched based on the CCTV evidence. (NewsWire)
