Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) leader MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake today used a Tamil phrase in Parliament to refer to the corruption allegations raised against government ministers.
MP Dissanayake used the phrase referring to Minister Prasanna Ranatunga’s statement in Parliament today.
Reaching out to opposition MP Mano Ganesan for assistance, the JVP leader said MP Ranatunga’s statement is similar to “Satan preaching religious texts”.
Minister Prasanna Ranatunga who was found guilty by the Colombo High Court in June for threatening a businessman demanding Rs.64 million was seen talking about preventing corruption. (NewsWire)
