Four persons have been arrested on charges of having set fire to and stealing property from a hotel in Kolonna which reportedly belongs to Rohitha Rajapaksa, the son of former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
The Police said the suspects had stolen property and set fire to the hotel in the Gongalakanda area on 10th May 2022.
The suspects had been arrested on Monday (22) and Tuesday (23) by officials from the Kolonna Police station.
They have been identified as residents of Kolonna aged between 25 and 50 years.
The Kolonna Police is conducting further investigations. (NewsWire)
