A new VIP Gate will be declared open at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake exclusively for Sri Lankan migrant workers travelling for foreign employment.
Minister of Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara told the media that the VIP Gate has been named the “Hope Gate”.
He further said the special VIP Gate for migrant workers will be declared open on the 1st of September 2022.
“Sri Lankan migrant workers travelling for overseas employment will be provided VIP facilities and will be assisted through immigration and customs procedures by special teams at the VIP Gate,” he added.
