One person has been killed in a shooting incident reported in Kegalle today.
The Police said the incident had occurred at the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) office on Kalugalla Mawatha in Kegalle.
The victim killed in the shooting has been identified as a 36-year-old woman from Habudugala, Kegalle.
The Police said the woman is an employee of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) office in Kalugalla.
The Police had found the body of the woman inside a room at the opposition party office based on a tip-off.
The Kegalle Police is conducting further investigations to ascertain if the woman had been shot by a third party or if she had died by suicide.
