The Fuel Station Code will be added to the SMS generated when obtaining fuel under the National Fuel Pass from next week, Minister of Energy Kanchana Wijesekera said.
He said the measure has been taken to prevent the illegal use of the National Fuel Pass QR.
Special Category for quota increases will be tested on selected private and public sector entities this week.
The Tourist Fuel Pass and non-vehicle category are to be introduced next week, the Minister further said.
Minister Kannchana Wijesekera said automated reports for Fuel Station Dealers will be made available from today, while the dashboard to the public will also be made available.
He made the announcement following a meeting held this morning to review the National Fuel Pass QR system with the participation of development partners and stakeholders. (NewsWire)
