Mahela Jayawardena played a great part in changing Sri Lanka’s game plan during the Asia Cup, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee Pramodya Wickramasinghe said.
“Mahela played a key role in that change, even when we lost wickets we took the game forward,” he said.
He also said that strategies of the current Sri Lanka national team are derived jointly by consultant coach Mahela Jayawardena and head coach Chris Silverwood.
Speaking to a local media channel, Wickramasinghe said that Mahela Jayawardena will also join the team in person for the T20 World Cup. (NewsWire)
