Several law students’ unions have condemned the recent verbal and physical attack on a group of law undergraduates at the University of Peradeniya.
Twelve (12) law undergraduates had been assaulted at the university canteen by a group of students from the university’s arts faculty over issues related to ragging.
The Alumni of the Dept of Law (University of Peradeniya), the Law Students’ Union of Sri Lanka, and the Independent Law Student Movement have issued statements condemning the attack.
