President Ranil Wickremesinghe has proposed to limit the overseas travel of ministers and state ministers to essential trips.
Cabinet approval has been granted to the President’s proposal which was made in order to minimize the State expenditure after taking into consideration the current economic crisis.
The government said thereby, ministers and state ministers have been requested to limit their overseas visits to essential trips only.
They have also been advised to travel with a delegation consisting of only the necessary essential officials. (NewsWire)
