A seven-member National Sports Selection Committee has been appointed by the Minister of Sports Roshan Ranasinghe.
Chief of Defence Staff, General Shavendra Silva has been appointed as the Chairman of the National Sports Selection Committee.
Following are the remaining members of the National Sports Selection Committee:
- Arjun Rishya Fernando – Secretary
- Consultant Surgeon Dr. Maiya Gunasekera – member
- Prasanna Chandith – Sports Ministry representative
- Sanath Jayasuriya – member
- National Olympics Committee Secretary – member
- Thilaka Jinadasa – member / women representative
