A man and his two sons have been shot dead at their house in the Gamangedara area in Minuwangoda today.
The incident is reported to have taken place at around 7.00 am this morning.
The deceased has been identified as a 51-year-old man, and his two sons aged 23 and 24 years.
Investigations have revealed that the three victims had recently been released on bail after having been imprisoned over a murder.
The Police said it is suspected that the triple murder may have taken place over a long-standing dispute, while a T-56 weapon had been used to carry out the shooting.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the suspects had arrived in a car and a motorcycle.
Several Police teams have been appointed to apprehend the suspects wanted over the murders. (NewsWire)
