A 63-year-old man has died in a fire that had broken out in a store selling construction materials situated in Pita Kote, Mirihana.
The Police said the fire had erupted early this morning and had been contained together by the Police and fire brigades dispatched by the Kotte Municipal Council.
Following an inspection of the damaged area, the Police found the burnt body of an individual.
Investigations have revealed that it is the body of an individual who had worked as a security guard at the store.
The cause for the fire is yet to be ascertained, while the magisterial inquiry into the death is to be conducted today. (NewsWire)
