Parliament to hold special adjournment debate on current situation in November

The Committee on Parliamentary Business has decided to hold the special adjournment debate on the economic and current situation of the country on 08th November 2022.

According to the Secretary-General of Parliament Dhammika Dissanayake, the proposal for the adjournment debate was put forward by National People’s Power (NPP) leader MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake. 

He said the decision to hold a special debate was made when the Committee on Parliamentary Business convened under the patronage of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena at the Parliamentary complex today (27).

Meanwhile, a decision has been taken during a meeting of the Party Leaders to present the 2023 Budget to Parliament on 14th November.

According to the Parliament of Sri Lanka, the second reading of the Budget 2023 will take place on 22nd November and the third reading will take place on 08th December. (NewsWire)
