Litro Gas Lanka will announce a price revision of its gas cylinders on Sunday, Chairman of the company Muditha Peiris said on Friday (04).
Speaking to the media today, Muditha Peiris said that the price may increase or decrease, and will be based on the pricing formula.
He further said that there are adequate stocks of gas cylinders and that there are no issues in supplying gas.
“We have ordered nearly 28,000 Metric Tonnes of gas. Therefore, there will be no shortage of gas cylinders in November,” he said.
Muditha Peiris further said that a shortage of gas cylinders was reported recently due to certain dealers not placing their orders on time anticipating a price revision at the beginning of the month.
The Litro Gas Lanka Chairman added that the issue will be completely rectified by 02.00 pm on Monday, 06th November 2022.
“Litro Gas has ample stocks of gas. I can assure you that the company is supplying adequate stocks without a shortage of products,” he assured.
Muditha Peiris also revealed that Litro gas expects to release new gas cylinders in January next year.
He emphasized that any Litro Gas Cylinders that have been repainted or tampered with will not be accepted and legal action will be initiated in this regard. (NewsWire)
